The 18th Amendment took effect on January 16, 1920. It prohibited “the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors”. Interestingly enough, the Amendment did not prohibit the consumption, private possession, or production for one’s own consumption. Prohibition lasted for 13 years. Eventually being repealed in 1988 by ratification of the 21st Amendment. (Note: This is the only time in American history that a constitutional amendment was repealed in its entirety.) The cozy and intimate speakeasy style bar, is nestled above a brewery, through an antique wooden door using an electronic keypad.
The cocktail menu is well crafted. The Smoky Old Fashioned + 21st Amendment were really perfect! Cocktails run around $15.00.
